STAGING

In these projects we re-imagined interior and exterior environments for real estate sales, property development, and estate sales. Making spaces feel aspirational is our signature approach.

We aim to recreate and enhance properties using existing furnishings, and, thus concentrate on re-defining spaces through imaginative and skillful replacement.

Many of our projects involve the selling and distribution of the contents within the properties. We take the same approach to merchandising as we do with staging. With a curatorial knowledge of fine and decorative arts, our placement and grouping of items is done with creativity and a deep understanding of their value and worth.

Return Engagement - Brentwood, CA

What we started with

before Clifford LR.jpg

Before

Mission: This 8,000 sq. ft. estate had been sold and its contents were being prepared for an estate sale. The living room and other public rooms once held an impressive collection of art and furniture, but it all went to auction, leaving the ground floor almost empty. However, to make the home feel grand and elegant again, we developed a new layout and repurposed pieces from other rooms, thus recreating a living room that was the showplace of the sale.

Legendary Mid Century Designers' Home & Studio -
Santa Monica, CA

What We Started With

use Before Ackerman LR.jpg

Before

Mission: This cottage was modest in size, but its former owners were larger than life. The late couple were legendary Mid Century designers and lived here for 60+ years. An estate sale was planned, but their treasures and creations were boxed up around the house (it was packed). Throughout their storied career, the home and studio was well-photographed and documented, but with time, the place needed work. Great time and research went into recreating an era and lifestyle for this much beloved couple and designers.

Lafayette Square Fantasy - Los Angeles, CA

What We Started With

IMG_6773.jpeg

Mission: This 6,0000 sq. ft. home was lavish in its originality and so too were its contents. With one-of-a-kind pieces like an 18th century Venetian Sedan, an 18th century intricately plainted peddler's wagon, a rare Lusterweibchen chandelier, and special pieces, this project held some challenges. How to best display it all and make it cohesive?  With some unusual items, we approached the property as a theatrical event, thus creating each room as a gallery to highlight these special pieces.

Treasures Recouped - Woodland Hills, CA

What We Started With

IMG_1992 2.jpeg

Mission: This large home, overlooking a valley was striking, yet its living room was virtually empty. However, with several additional furnished structures on the compound, it was easy pickings to fill up it up the main house. The big challenge was to do so in a cohesive and holistic approach to the project. By developing a theme from the found pieces and a layout, we created three seating groups, all with the desire to make the room feel comfortable and easy to live in.

Creating Spaces - Sherman Oaks, CA

What We Started With

IMG_3122.jpeg

Before

Mission: This home sat on the market for too long. We were brought in to spruce it up (and it sold within a few days). The furniture was too large and dominated the living room. Also, a sun room was used as a dining area. However, by redistributing the pieces, rearranging its layout, and using mirrors as a room divider, we turned one room into two: a living room and dining area. Most importantly, the once bonus room became a large and useful family room, thus making the it a more desired feature.

Comfort In The Sun - Studio City, CA

What We Started With

Before

Mission: This once neglected home had a lot going for… large rooms, a large yard, and sunlight that needed to be featured. When we approached this project, we realized its great bone structure, it just needed to be emphasized. By rearranging the living room,  we centered a seating area around the fireplace and freed-up outside views. The new sofa placement let us carve out an entrance area,  that essentially created another room to the house.

Return To Splendor On Mulholland Drive -
Los Angeles, CA

What We Started With

IMG_8491 2.jpeg

Mission: This project was unique in every aspect. The clients had previously taken out all of their collection and rented out the house. However, it was back on the market, empty, but they wanted to sell everything they had in storage. Over time though, they had amassed even more items and everything needed to be recalibrated. With only a few days to achieve this, we designed a scheme with many seating areas that would highlight their various collections and group the art in a cohesive way.
